Topics include bionics, genetic engineering, regenerative medicine, brain computer interfaces and a wide array of other emerging areas in science. A former Newsweek correspondent and editor, Piore has covered Congress, lived in southeast Asia, covered 9-11 from Ground Zero, spent time in Iraq and traveled to the Brazilian Amazon. In recent years he has specialized in writing about science and business for a wide array of publications, including Businessweek, Fast Company, Popular Science, MIT Technology Review and Nautilus.
